About Us

HCP Design and Project Management Pvt. Ltd. (HCPDPM) provides professional services in Master Planning, Architectural Design, Urban Design, Urban Planning, Interior Design and Project Management. From its modest beginning in 1960 with a headcount of 3, today it is a large practice with a workforce of 150+.

Its work portfolio is extensive and diverse and spans across Educational Institutions, Townships, Hotels, Hospitals, Shopping Centres, Corporate Offices, Commercial Complexes, Residential Enclaves, Museums,  Industrial Plants, Pharmaceutical Facilities and Private Residences amongst others. The firm adopts good management practices while striving for excellence in design, planning and construction. It is also known for timely delivery within prescribed budgets. Currently, the practice is led by Hasmukh C Patel's  son, Bimal Patel, an Architect - Planner. 

The firm's design philosophy is rooted in the belief that design is essentially a problem solving process. Accordingly, its design teams adopt a multi-disciplinary, collaborative and participatory approach to rigorously identify and analyse design problems. The solutions which emerge from this dialogue are simple and honest, yet elegant, meticulously detailed, meaningful and sustainable. Every project is considered as a unique opportunity and is steered jointly by a Design Manager and a Project Manager. 

HCPDPM is the recipient of several prestigious awards and accolades including the Aga Khan Award for Architecture (1992). It has also contributed to the foundation and evolution of five  professional firms viz. Environmental Planning Collaborative (EPC), EPC Development Planning and Management Pvt. Ltd. (EPCDPM), Geographis (India) Pvt. Ltd., TDW Furniture Pvt. Ltd., and HCP Interior Architecture Pvt. Ltd. (HCPIA). While EPCDPM was merged with HCPDPM in 2008, the other firms continue to function as independent entities.
